Hi,
Is anyone using PDMLink to manage other data like word files, excel files. etc and/or extracting BOM from it?
Is it good for this?

We are managing Pro/E data and MS Office files in PDMLink9.

Are you using change management and lifecycle states?
We here have two networks; one for CAD and another one for internet, mail, etc. They are linked via a unix station and transfer to the CAD network is done by a bunch of persons. The reason for this setup is to control virus and hacking attacks. This makes PDMLink available only to CAD users.

We are using lifecycle states on all PDMLink stored documents.

We have not implemented change management, but are planning to in the future.
