Converting cosmetic into a sketch

Converting cosmetic into a sketch

Converting cosmetic into a sketch

(OP)
Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to convert an already created cosmetic feature into a sketch?  I have a shrink-wrapped sleeve with a lot of graphics created via a cosmetic feature.  In order for me to wrap them on the can, they have to be sketches.

Thanks.

RE: Converting cosmetic into a sketch

You should be able to edit the sketch and save it off as a .sec section file.
You can then create a sketch and paste in the cosmetic saved section.

Another way would be to use use edge to reference the cosmetic and then delete the curves from Sketch references and re dimension.

I don't believe it's possible to reference cosmetic edges.  I just saved a cosmetic section to use as sketch, that works in all Pro/E releases.
