Crystal River Plant - Transformer Fire

Crystal River Plant - Transformer Fire

(OP)
Any news from anyone on the recent Main Transformer fire at Crystal River Florida ?

I believe it happened on January 15th or 16th. Reports that I heard stated that it was the coal fired plant, not the nuclear plant that had the accident

There was extensive damage to the transformers as well as the adjacent turbine hall.

In the pictures that I saw, there did not seem to be protective walls around the transformers, not did there seem to be a protective sump to contain burning oil.....

Anyone ?

RE: Crystal River Plant - Transformer Fire

There are what is was left of walls in the photos I am looking at, it appears they demoed them. There also appears to be a sump.

And it was the coal side, nuclear has been shut down for over a year.
