GGBFS - Slag Cement Grade 120

GGBFS - Slag Cement Grade 120

GGBFS - Slag Cement Grade 120

(OP)
I am having trouble locating a supplier of ASTM C989 Grade 120 Slag Cement in the Midwestern US.  A couple of major cement companies that I have spoken with do make GGBFS, but only up to Grade 100.  Apparently it is difficult to meet the stringent grading requirements of Grade 120.

Nearly all of the technical articles I have found seem to use Grade 120 as the basis of their conclusions as to durability, reduced permeability, better workability, reduced heat of hydration, sulfate resistance, etc. however.

A lot of literature just talks about "slag" as if it is just one product.  Yet in other literature, the characteristics of Grades 80, 100 and 120 appear to be significantly different.

Does anyone know of a Midwestern source of GGBFS - Grade 120?  How about comments on the interchangeability of Grade 100 and Grade 120?

THANKS!
