Full scale DFT files

Full scale DFT files

Full scale DFT files

(OP)
We do a lot laser programming and need our files to always be full scale.  Is there a way to get the borders to scale up to the parts that I am drawing instead of scaling the parts up or down to fit the border.  I do not care about printing a scaled drawing.

Thank you,

Paul

RE: Full scale DFT files

On the background sheet draw the borders scaled up, then when you place views put them on at 1:1
You might be best having the border as a block that you can then scale up according to whatever you need to get the views in. If you just try to scale up an existing border the text will not change size.

Where would we be without sat-nav?

RE: Full scale DFT files

Exporting from the part file instead of the drawing is an option. That is always without scale. For sheet metal there is the save as flat command that outputs a 2d model.

RE: Full scale DFT files

We use the save as flat (icon kept in the Quick Access toolbar)which outputs a dxf this is used for the laser. The latest ST3 uses the flattern view as the default for orientation so if that is a requirement get in to the habit of flattening the part in the correct orientation for grained steel etc. If you forget just delete the flat pattern in the tree and reflatten
