Flange standard for 1500#

Flange standard for 1500#

Flange standard for 1500#

(OP)

Hi all,

can anyone suggest me flange standard for rating above 900 & for sizes 26 NPS above?

i am gone through in ASME B16.47, but 16.47 not covers these ratings.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Flange standard for 1500#

I see connections through but not above Class 900 in MSS-SP-44.

RE: Flange standard for 1500#

ASME B16.47 includesthis topic in the "Forward".  The first draft in December 1982 covered Class 1500 for size NPS 26 through NPS 60 based upon MSS SP 44 and API 605 for Class 75 flanges.  "Class 1500 flanges were deleted due to lack of interest in using large size flanges in that pressure temperature rating."

RE: Flange standard for 1500#

There is no standard. You will need to design a custom flange using an appropriate design code such as ASME VIII Div 1 / Div 2 or EN-1591.

Higher pressure but smaller diameters
API 6A http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/api-flanges-d_746.html

DIN 2627 PN400 = 5800 psig

Other sizes and pressures are not standard and require propriatory design, as there is not much practical need for those diameters and pressures to warrant developent of standards to cover them.
