how to calculate weight of gas
how to calculate weight of gas
(OP)
Dear friend,
I have a trouble during using codeware to assume operating weight on heat exchanger design. My question is how to know the result calculate for weight of liquid is correct if the service of tube and shell side is gas service, not liquid? Based on codeware there have option to input liquid level and specific gravity but the formula is using for liquid or use the same with gas service?. In my calculation, i have input 0.6 SG for gas at shell side and tube side and shell I.D 975 mm with total length of shell is 11200 mm then the weight of liquid total shell side and tube side is 2,6 ton. Is it correct?

RE: how to calculate weight of gas
0.6 SG sounds like a very high density for a gas. I suspect you want to put in a much lower number.
