Pipe Routing Issue
Pipe Routing Issue
(OP)
I am trying to teach myself routing. my company uses victaulic connections in the piping scheme. i have modified the standard library to include the victaulic end feature and the proper part size. i.e. elbow and tee. the problem is the connection points as shown in the image. the ends but up correctly, but when i insert the vic coupling it snaps to the point on the arc of the elbow, and not on the CP i have specfied at the part level. i modified the elbow to include the stright leg, and then revolve a cut. but its like it doesnt like that. thoughts? thanks in advance.

RE: Pipe Routing Issue
I am unfamiliar with that piping system nut assume it slides over the butted connection on the grooves.
What you need to do in the route is insert pipe then coupling then pipe (will be removed after elbow is inserted) then elbow. to remove the small pipe before elbow, right click on that section of route and select remove pipe. I think that will get you where you want to be.
If not I would pack and go that route, .zip it and post it here. I am still using SW 2009 until 2011 sp3 is released, so I might not be able to open it but maybe someone else can.
