Electrochlorination Plant optimization

(OP)
Hello Engineers

We have a chlorination plant for our sea water intake station and we are looking for ways to reduce it power consumption. Do you have any idea?

Did you try to store hydrogen produced during electrolysis process and sell it in cylinders?

Best Regards

RE: Electrochlorination Plant optimization

Some systems use shock chlorination with higher concentration on a periodic basis instead of continuous chlorination. Have you investigated that?

Processing hydrogen requires a different skill set and equipment than what most operators have.

RE: Electrochlorination Plant optimization

Hi megeneer,

We developed a method called Pulse-Chlorination which is Best Available Technology in Europe and applied at various industrial sites in Europe, M-East, Asia and Australia. It proved to be more effective than continuous and shock dosing using a minimum of chlorine. http://www.kema.com/services/consulting/Reliability/pcw/cooling.aspx
please give me your contact details and I sent you some specific information and references.
