Rotating part in assy

Rotating part in assy

Rotating part in assy

(OP)
Hi, how can i parametrize (attach) a part on a plate, that it can rotate about its coordinate system and not about assy coord system? I.e. the part should be translated about assy coord system but rotated about its coord system by changing the apropriate parameters.
thanx

RE: Rotating part in assy

Simple.

Create a coord-sys on the assem that is variable to another coord-sys on the same assem. Use the option CoordSys/Offset and select Rotate (this requires an angular dim to simulate rotation from 0-360).

Now assemble the part (and its coord sys) to the assem coord-sys with the variable dimension just created.

Modifying the variable dim on the assem coord sys will make your part "spin".
