Why won't NX6 copy sketches or curves?
Why won't NX6 copy sketches or curves?
(OP)
Hi all. Quick question.
Say I have a pressure vessel that I want to put some labels on at 4 locations, clocked 90 degrees apart. I can use the "Text" command to create my label in one location, but there is apparently no way to copy it to the other three locations. I have to create each instance of the label individually.
My question is what is the reasoning for this behavior in NX6? Why are curves and sketches not allowed to be copied, moved, mirrored, etc.? Or, if there is a way to make a copy (doesn't have to be associative although that would be nice) of a curve, how do you do it?
thanks.

Insert -> Curve -> Text...
...?
If so have you tried using...
Insert -> Associative Copy -> Instance Geometry...
...?
BTW, this will work for the curves of a Sketch as well.
