NX Import

NX Import

NX Import

(OP)
Hi

I have been trying to import a .dxf file.  The initial import is fine and I then save it as a .prt.  However when I add this to my assembly which is dimensioned in mm, the part is tiny compared to everything else.  When importing the .dxf I have changed the default system from mm to m to inches but still, the part is tiny in my assembly.

Also, when it imports, you can't select and faces/edges or anything?  Is there a way around this?

Thanks

RE: NX Import

You need to run ug_convert_part.exe on that part to convert it to inches.
It is small because itis 1/25.4 of the size you expect it to be.
Changing the units in the part does not change the base units of an NX file, only changes how you input values.

Where is that executable located?  Can it be accessed from NX itself?

I would assume that the .dxf would be in inches, in which case do I need to convert it to mm using ug_convert_part.exe?

Thanks
