Stacking Hardware BOM balloons with Part Attached

Stacking Hardware BOM balloons with Part Attached

Stacking Hardware BOM balloons with Part Attached

(OP)
I've been at places using different CAD software where we stacked the Balloons that related to the hardware that attached it underneath the part balloon on assembly drawings.  Is there a way to do that in Wildfire/Creo 5.0?

Thank you in advance for any help!

Have a GREAT day!

RE: Stacking Hardware BOM balloons with Part Attached

I do know it can be done, but I have not used WF5 yet so I can not give you the commands. Search the help for "merge".

Thank you, Peter,

I had already reviewed the merge section before posting. My problem is that the help section talks about "quantity balloons".  My balloons are simple balloons (only item numbers inside).  There must be a difference because I cannot select these balloons while in merge mode.

Any ideas?  Anyone?

Thank you!

Have a GREAT day!

Okay!

It looks like you have to change the balloons from Simple to Quantity to merge them.  However, I do not like seeing Balloons with quantity 1 display the "1".  Is there a way to create a rule to hinder display if qty = 1?

RE: Stacking Hardware BOM balloons with Part Attached

There is not a way to hinder the display of a qty of 1. I would reject any drawing that had that as too confusing in any case. If you wish to use "simple" balloons and still stack them, I would suggest using a custom balloon with the qty being sized very small so it is not noticable.
