Modification on Level Indicator

Modification on Level Indicator

Modification on Level Indicator

(OP)
Guys,

The situation is the following:
A modification is going to be performed on piping that connect a level indicator (Level Bridle) to a Steam Drum. Modification consist on vent valve  installation on top of the level indicator.
I would like to know whether such modification needs to be performed as per ASME VIII  Div.I or ASME B31.3.

Code of Construction of the Vessel is ASME VIII  Div.I. Should this level indicator be treated as part of the vessel ?

Thank you much in advance for your valuable help

RE: Modification on Level Indicator

Which side of the valve is the modification being made on?  On the vessel side or the other side?
