how far from water (sinks) do panels need to be?

(OP)
i am putting a panel in a commercial kitchen.  ironically, this wall space also has a hand dishwashing line on it.  how far do i need to be away from the washing line?  i don't think the NEC addresses this but do other codes?

thanks!

RE: how far from water (sinks) do panels need to be?

NEC Table 110.26.(A).(1) condition 2 says 3.5 ft. minimum in any direction.  You might want to consider it in a wet location, so Section 312.2.(A) should be taken into consideration.  You may want to consider a NEMA 4 enclosure which is protection against splashing water or hose directed water.

RE: how far from water (sinks) do panels need to be?

Clarification:  Strike out "in any direction".  Also the 3.5 ft. is measured from the front of the panel.
