Hi all
does anybody know how to get aisi 52100 fatigue data?
I need to investigate by fem (ABAQUS) the fatigue life of a rolling bearing, crack propagation also (ratcheting), but i can't find more than the usual steel makers data: E, poisson, strainVSstress etc...

Typical fatigue data in presented in terms of stress-life or strain-life curves from test specimens that are loaded in one of the following ways:

•    rotating bending
•    tension-tension
•    tension-compression

None of these replicates the loading condition of a rolling element bearing, which is predominantly loaded by contact stresses (Hertzian contact).  I suggest reviewing some of these links for more information on the fatigue life of 52100 rolling elements:
