Hello Everybody,

What is technical Difference between API 610 and ANSI B73.1 Crude oil transfer pump? I understand API 610 pumps are more costly compare to ANSI B73.1 pump.

Can we add ANSI B73.1 in crude oil refinery system where other pumps are API610? Please find attached document.

RE: Difference between API 610 and ANSI B73.1 Crude oil transfer pump.

If it is your refinery, you can decide whether or not you accept ANSI B73.1 standard instead of API 610. If you are a supplier, ask your customer. He decides, regardless what the difference between the standards is.

No double posting please.

RE: Difference between API 610 and ANSI B73.1 Crude oil transfer pump.

ANSI B73,1 M CALLS STANDARIZATION AND DIMMENSIONAL INTERCHANGEABILITY.
API 610 11 VERSION CALL SAFETY AND REABILITY, MTBF GRATER THAN 3 YEARS IN CRITICAL SERVICES.

THERE ARE A LOT OF MECHANICAL DESIGN DIFFERENCES THAT YOU COULD PREFER ONE INSTEAD OF THE OTHER.

WHAT FLUID YOU HANDLED? TEMPERATURE? DISCHARGE PRESSURE?
SERVICE? IS IT A CRITICAL SERVICE?
