Analytical rigid surface

Analytical rigid surface

(OP)
Hello,

I am performing an analysis of composite laminate and have to apply a load such that it should be uniform on all the nodes on that surface. The displacement of the body should be uniform. Do I have to make the surface where load acts as rigid?

If yes how do I start?

Thanks for the help.

RE: Analytical rigid surface

Hi Odforu,

Making the surface rigid is one option.  What you constrain by doing this is the ability for the material to Poisson.  You may want to choose a kinematic coupling constraint or equation constraint instead.

Regards
