coordinates of INTERface elements

coordinates of INTERface elements

coordinates of INTERface elements

(OP)
Hello all,

Hope you can help me out with this

I'm trying to mesh the interface of a cylindrical solid using CZMESH. I created a local cylindrical coordinate using CSWPLA,11,1, and mesh it using CZMESH,,,21,X,radial_location.

But the INTER 20X mesh is not in the desired condition.

Attached is the ideal condition (blue radial spikes) that I'm trying to achieve (that I achieve with normal vsweep for other elements) and the non- ideal condition of the mesh via CZMESH. The radial spikes indicate the direction of one of the axes

As the coordinate system of the INTER 20X can't be modified via emodif, and ESYS command, I'm at wits end on how to deal with this.

I'm also wondering if the correct simulation results can be achieved by merely modifying the nodes? (sorry, i'm new with ANSYS apdl and my questions might sound silly)

Maybe someone can guide me on defining a correct local cylindrical coordinate?, or any method on how to modify the coordinate system.

Thanks in advance
