gas turbine compressor map charactheristic with IGV
(OP)
I am developing a mathematical model that simulates a combined cycle in off design conditions following the beta lines concept. I got a compressor map which shows me a complete behavior of a wide range operation profile , but I aim to analysing the possibility to consider a IGV operating in order to simulate a constant flue gas temperature (to a certain load ), most know as TIT, pushing down the air mass flow through the gas turbine. How should like the corrected speed lines according to the openess level in control valves(dampers) in front of the compressor intake , moreover, how should be the pressure ratio based ont this new corrected speed. ?? I would appreciate if some one could forwrad me a typical compressor map with those features available?

Is this for a work or school assignment?

TIT - Turbine Inlet Temperature
Sounds like ABB/ALSTOM

You are right. Both acronyms are correct but they are used for any gt manufacturer. To be more precise, IGV has the main purpose to control air mass flow flowing through the compressor, keeping the TIT (the temperature measured just before the first row of blades in the expansion zone, or at combustion chamber outlet) as righ as possible, or in other words, searching for the highest possible thermal efficiency at a certain part load operation.

Yes, you are right. I posted my request with a lack of information. My model is based on a single shaft machine running at constant speed lines. I went through the Flether's book (GT Performance) but there are few tips regarding to IGVs behavior. As I understand the constant speed lines move horizontally to the left,at most but I didn't see any one showing this behavior.
thanks anyway
