Outline text question

Outline text question

Outline text question

(OP)
A departed coworker has set up our drawing borders so that the drawing number is outlined, but all other text is normal.

When I open the drawing, the outline text reverts to standard text. Everyone else has no problem with it. This is using the 425s shx font. We are stumped trying to figure out why.

Any suggestions?

RE: Outline text question

I would say that if it if OK on everyone else and not your PC, you have a path problem with the font.  Make sure your font 425s.shx is in your library path and is not corrupted.

My particular setup has the fonts on a network drive and sometimes the drive does not get re-mapped when I log on so I don't get the fonts, plot-styles, etc that are on the network drive.

RE: Outline text question

A .shx file is a file created when a MicroStation font is converted to an AutoCAD font. You most likely don't have 425s.shx (the file) on your computer. I would suggest that you change the template to a standard Windows font.
