underground conduit and direct burial in hazardous locations

(OP)
I just found this forum, and this is my first post.  I am working on a fuel level sensor.  The sensors are located in underground fuel tanks, and need to be connected to a panel inside the building.  We have the sensor device ready and I need to specify how the wiring is to go from the tank to the building interior.  The concrete at the site is going to be saw cut.  I'm sure that more is required than just cutting concrete and laying wire in it.  Is there information on the correct way to do this, and which cable is best?  Our sensor runs fine with unshielded 22 gauge 4 conductor cable.  Also, I am lobbying hard for home run wiring, but since our signal is RS-485 some people want to daisy chain the cabling.  Any opinions on that?

Thank you very much for any help,

Rob
