ASHRAE 90.1 vs ASHRAE 90.2

ASHRAE 90.1 vs ASHRAE 90.2

(OP)
Just wondering if anyone has taken the time to compare these two standards.  I am working on a low rise apartment building that requires a compliance review to ASHRAE 90.1 (which is a little weird I know...)  My question is: if you comply with ASHRAE 90.1, will you be at least as energy efficient as if you complied with ASHRAE 90.2?

Your opinions are very welcome.
