Drawing Views Move

Drawing Views Move

Drawing Views Move

(OP)
when i update an assembly or even when i shut down pro-e w/f 5.0, my drawing views move what seem in various and random directions. does anyone know why this happens and how do i prevent it from happening in the future? this is rather annoying.

RE: Drawing Views Move

What Pro/E considers the default center of the view is affected by the size of the assembly.  So if you add parts or change the size of existing parts the view center can be affected.  You can create a CSYS of datum point and make that the view center to keep it nailed down.

RE: Drawing Views Move

Yes. To add to dgallups reply... go to a view, right click and select origin. Then select a coordinate system. That will be your view center regardless of what is done to the assembly.
