Corrupted files?

Corrupted files?

Corrupted files?

(OP)
All of a sudden we are getting files that will not open in NX5.

The Error is the following:

An invalid handle index was found reading an OM file: probable corruption.

Has anyone else had this happen? What could be causing this?

RE: Corrupted files?

Were these files created in-house or did you get them from an outside vendor? Is this a new vendor or one you have done business with in the past? NX has built-in detection for detecting files created on a system that does not have a legal license.

What release of NX5 were the files created in and what release do you have?

Do you have all of the components if they are assembly parts? Linked geometry between files can cause some strange errors.

RE: Corrupted files?

... and if it is an assembly then go into the assembly load options (before opening the assembly) and set that it does not load any componenets (or the structure only).
After the assembly is open (withy nothing there) go into the assembly navigation tree and open each component individually to see which component is causing the error.
