For 737 shoring requirements, you could send a mail to boeing (RSE) for a second opinion if you are in doubt...

what does the boeing SRM say ? (for the specific repair you  mention)

generally, do you think the plane is going to "spring" if you detach a frame ?  for an unloaded plane, i personally doubt it, BUT if you're trying to realign rivet holes afterwards then even small deflections will make this difficult.  i'd support the plane on jacks (4) ... just my 2c ...
