Orthographic projection view in sketcher

Orthographic projection view in sketcher

Orthographic projection view in sketcher

(OP)
I have recently started learning and using Pro (Creo 5.0).  SolidWorks has an orthographic projection orientation button whereby any time you want to get a straight-on, perpendicular (orthographic) view you from where you are on the model on screen you could click a surface, then right-click and select the perpendicular view symbol.  In Pro there is a specific button for that in the sketcher, but is there a way to do it when not in sketcher mode if surface you want is not in any of the standard orientations?

Thank you - I look forward to your answers!

Have a GREAT day!

RE: Orthographic projection view in sketcher

If you access the View Manager you can define an orientation direction based on plane, or you can do a dynamic orient. You are going to have a couple menu options to set up initially but once that is done you can reference the view at any time, including within the drawing itself.
