Source of 'Real' Earth Resistivity Values in Holland

Source of 'Real' Earth Resistivity Values in Holland

Hi All.
This is my first post to this Forum, so please forgive me if I don't get it quite right.
I am involved with a long term project to fully explain why the signallers had problems with Wireless Communications in Arnhem in September 1944 during Operation Market Garden.
I have done some Resistivity and Permittivity test on surface soil samples, with interesting results. I now have a resistivity bridge to do some in-situ deeper test sometime in the future, ideally in September.
What I would like is instant access to some 'measured' figures that must exist 'somewhere', can anybody point me at a source. I have looked at the ITU Atlas but that is too 'broad-brush' for my needs. Thanks for any help.

Just some suggestions: Contact the local power utility. They may have done some surveys in the area. Also, post your question on a local ham radio forum. They might have some insights into radio behavior in that area.

Hi,

I have tried the utility company, but without any success, no reply to emails and voicemail on phone, I will try again in NY.
As to the Amateur Radio approach, I have tried that as well, but your average Amateur does not have much to do with the Ground Constants, also I am sure I know the answer to the radio issues, and I am trying to get some completely unbiased figures, to cross check my theories. Later in 2011 I would like to go back to Arnhem and measure it for myself, now I have an Earth Resistance Bridge.
