Recognizing AutoCAD features in SolidWorks 2007
(OP)
I am in the process of making drawings in SolidWorks that are similar to other drawings others have made in SolidWorks, just with newer models. However, some of the details were hard to show in SolidWorks, so details were created in AutoCAD and pasted into the SolidWorks drawing. Since the newer models aren't too different from the old drawings, I can most likely re-use some of the details done in AutoCAD. Is there a way to tell in the drawing which features came from AutoCAD and which features came from the model?

What sort of thing can you not do in SolidWorks?
I agree that AutoCAD is a better drafting tool than SolidWorks, but SolidWorks is adequate, at worst. Any feature you detail in AutoCAD will not update when your model changes. Is the guy who inherits your drawings going to understand this?
I am still on SolidWorks 2007 here. If you upload a couple of problem details, I can probably figure out how to do them entirely within SolidWorks.

Have the same problem w/ BOMS at work. Previous drafter did BOM's with sketch blocks instead of associating them w/ assembly properties. After putting it off, it was worse to deal with than to fix it.
