Affect of slightly changing T5 process

Affect of slightly changing T5 process

We are attempting to try and improve the productivity of our T5 process on our aluminum die castings.  To do this we want to set our furnaces temperature higher and turn the timer of each station in the furnace shorter.  There for moving more product through in the same amount of time.  I am trying to understand the direct effects of doing this and if there are any if they are negative or not.  We do have standards in our industry given to us for this process and we are staying with in them but quality department wants to see how we may be affecting the end product that we are producong.  Does any one have any thoughts or comments or know a good paper that may address some of these ideas?

thanks
Matt Dalton
