NX6 WELD SYMBOL

NX6 WELD SYMBOL

NX6 WELD SYMBOL

(OP)
How can I show staggered fillet welds in NX6?
I thought I saw it in there someplace, but for the life of me I can't find it.

RE: NX6 WELD SYMBOL

Are you talking about creating a Weld Symbol or the actual weld feature.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

The weld symbol for a staggered weld (sorry about being unclear).

RE: NX6 WELD SYMBOL

What I need is a weld symbol that shows a fillet weld on both sides (arrow side, and other side) with the welds staggered, so the fillet symbol triangles will be offset from each other.

RE: NX6 WELD SYMBOL

OK, here is where you set the 'Staggered Weld' option:

RE: NX6 WELD SYMBOL

If you're referring to the 'schematic' showing the layout of the welds, NO that's not part of the Weld Symbol function.  Besides, I'm not sure this is even covered by the Weld Standards, despite the fact that it might prove helpful.

It seems to be covered by weld standards, as I am finding it in the Machinery's Handbook, as well as various Internet resources.
I was able to get want I needed by combining a couple weld symbols.

Thanks

RE: NX6 WELD SYMBOL

It is in the middle of the weld symbol dialog, in the weld line section.  Third box from the left.

Did you look at the entire image which I posted?  You may need to maximize your browser window to see it all.
