Part disappearing in an invisible plane

Part disappearing in an invisible plane

Part disappearing in an invisible plane

(OP)
Hello,

I am having a problem when rotating a part it seems to hit an invisible plane and dissapears. I can usually get it out and its not a huge problem but it is an inconvience when half your model is gone. Is this a common problem and is there a solution. I am running NX6 and XP

Thanks,
Jeff Weber

RE: Part disappearing in an invisible plane

When you see this happen, the part is hitting a view clipping plane. I usually just hit the 'Home' button when this happens. The Home button will orient your view to a trimetric perspective and reset the clipping planes. Regenerating the view (view -> operation -> regenerate work) would probably also fix the problem; also you can go into view preferences and fiddle with the clipping planes, but is usually not necessary.
