Cant change entities to another layer

Cant change entities to another layer

Cant change entities to another layer

(OP)
Heres a simple one

I am using to being able to changing the layer of any drawing entity by clicking on it and pulling down the layer control tab and clicking on the layer I want to change the entity to.

But it does not work on the clients autocad and I cannot find the setting that might be affecting this.

I can set the layer with quick properties box and modify properties but if I try qselect and then try to use layer control to modify it wont work.

Anyone have any ideas ?

RE: Cant change entities to another layer

Open the Layer Properties Manager.  The layer the objects is on is probably locked. The little padlock in the layer properties manager will be shut if it is.

Maybe the PICKFIRST variable
