Coordinates in Hypermesh?

Coordinates in Hypermesh?

(OP)
Hey,
Does anyone know how to view coordinates in space in Hypermesh?

I want to check the coordinates for some nodes...

If anyone can provide any help this is urgent.
Thanks!

Hi,

in the nodes->"type in" panel, when you click on a node, HM replaces the focussed entry value by the nodes coordinate. So for only a few nodes, this might help.

Another possibility is to write a small script to output or display the coordinates. The following script (saved as a tcl file and started by the most right button on the standard toolbar) creates tags at a selection of nodes:

*createmarkpanel nodes 1 "Select nodes"
foreach n [hm_getmark nodes 1] {
  set label [join [lindex [hm_nodevalue $n] 0] "__"]
  *tagcreate nodes $n $label "N $n" 6
}

Enjoy the ridesmile

RE: Coordinates in Hypermesh?

Hi,

You can try Mesh->Card Edit->Nodes next just choose node for which you want to check coordinates.
