Gents,
Anybody can advice what is the suitable coating for vessel which operate more than 130 degree celsius, medium is lube oil and have a pitting problem in it. We suspected the lube oil is not clean/ contaminated.Thanks

The anodize process is not compatible with steel. However, if you're looking for something simple to apply, yourself, there are a number of epoxies and modified epoxy-phenolic coatings available. They will provide you the thermal stability you need. For more information, see this link:

I would contact the Shell Technical Group to see if they have some type purification process for contaminated oil. Oxidation seems to be the likely culprit due to the acid formation and resultant pitting.
