"Unable to register document?"

I'm having trouble opening all solidworks files due error: "Unable to register document.  The document may already be open."  Any one have any idea how to fix this problem?

RE: "Unable to register document?"

From the SolidWorks knowledge base:
The error 'File could be already open. The document may already be open...' seems to be a typical symptom of a virus in computer system, rather than any file corruption issue.
The virus could be a result of, older version of Antivirus software or some unauthentic software installation.
Follow these steps to recover:
1. Uninstall SolidWorks.
2 Clean the C:\Temp folder.
3. Clean the SolidWorks registry settings under C:\regedit\HKEY Current User\Software\SolidWorks\<SW Version >.
4. Update the Antivirus definition on your machine.
5. Disable the Antivirus and set NOT to start after reboot.
6. Reinstall SolidWorks.

Thanks Jeff, I reinstalled the computer and that did the trick.
