Instance Feature

(OP)
trying to insert a pattern (instance feature) in NX6 but it won't allow me. Doing it this way: Instance Feature>Rectangular Array>(select features I want to pattern)>Input number along YC and YC offset as it's in Y axis direction)>OK.

Get error message in picture - "Unable to trim - change trim type data". What's the problem?

RE: Instance Feature

This error could be caused if you try to cut your solid in two with the pattern, or if the patern will interact with other features.

Best regards,

Michaël.

NX4+TC9 / NX6+TC8Unified / NX7.5 native

RE: Instance Feature

If you try to pattern extrude feature, make sure, that extrude has limit "extrude until extended", or greater value than base feature (feature you are substracting from)
