Equation Driven Mates?

Equation Driven Mates?

Equation Driven Mates?

(OP)
I am trying to create a model where it would be extremely helpful to drive a mate with an equation, rather than editing the mate itself. (It's a fairly dynamic model and there are other factors that help determine how long the distance mate needs to be that would all otherwise need to be calculated every time I want to change the mate.) Is this possible? Or is there another way that I could get around this, even if it is messy?

RE: Equation Driven Mates?

You should be able to do this with equations directly or in a Design Table, utilizing the functions of Excel.

Wow, thanks. I was trying to grab the dimension straight from the FeatureManager Design tree, rather than clicking the mate dimension in the work area. Mystery solved.
