Vane motors

Vane motors

(OP)
Hello,

I need to design a small vane motor to drive a pneumatic dental handpiece.  I understand the basic concept and principles but I can't seem to find any information on the details.  Things like how to properly design inlet and outlet ports, flow rate, and some other subtle things that affect performance and control.  Does anyone know where I can find this kind of information; a textbook, journal or anything really that would be able to help me.

Thank you.

It is for a low speed dental handpiece, like those used to clean your teeth.
