Powder Transfer System

Powder Transfer System

Powder Transfer System

(OP)
Hello,

We are trying to update a production line with health and safety issues in mind. Therefore we d like to manualy transfer dangerous dust from the workbench it is weighted to the mixing drum with a "closed system" manner.

We are thinking to use contained powder transfer bags (see photo) along with a (split) high integrity valve (see photo) in order to transfer the powder into the mixing drum. The high integrity valve should have an active and a passive part, the passive part will be attached on the transfer bag and the active part on the mixing drum. The connection of the two parts will enable the transfer of the powder from the bag to the drum.

My problem is that I cannot find in the market the high integrity valve shown in the photo. Have you seen this type of valve anywhere or another similar way of connecting these bags with a nozzle on the drum lid? I know that the most common type of valve in these cases are the split butterfly ones but they are too expensive!

Thanks!!!

RE: Powder Transfer System

Try googling 'knifevalve',
Maybe deZurik has this sort of valve.

Greetings
