Code requirement

I have used A269 Gr 316L seamless tube with 0.89 mm thickness to build a sensor for ultrasonic flowmeter.
As per A269, only Flare test & Hardness test is applicable under mechanical test.
But customer is asking for tensile test for tube material. I have consumed all the tube for production & i have no samples  to do the test.
The sensors will be used in a piping(Flowmeter body)The design code is ASME B 31.3.
Can anybody specify where in ASME B 31.3, this tensile requirement is specified.

RE: Code requirement

There is no requirement for additional tensile testing in ASME B31.3, if the material specification is ASTM A 269. See if you can trace back to mill test reports for the material used, and go from there.

Metenger,
I tried that option,but mill also don't have the samples of that heat. they have no records of tensile values as well.
Mill has rejected my request as tensile requirement was not specified at the time of ordering of material.
So can i straight away reject the request of customer, as the code is also not referring tensile requirement?

RE: Code requirement

lahane1443;
Instead of rejecting the customers request, go back to the customer and inquire as to why they want tensile test results. Explain the situation using the fact that B31.3 does not specifically require tensile testing if the material is supplied under ASTM specification.
