Hi everyone  

           I´m new in the forum I working with catia v5 r16 and opened an igs file and cannot join the surfaces

I tried to join it using Join icon but there are gaps more than 0.001mm and apeear me connexity problem

I need to have surfaces closed so could you please tell me how to solve this? what is the best way to work?what should I do this?

try healing or change your tolerance to .01 and see what happens

Just in case you don't know where to find the import tolerance it is

Tools->Options->General->Compatability->IGES tab->Continuity Optimization of Curves and Surfaces->Advanced Optimisation->Parameters

Hi 1oldcaduser and Peterguy
                             Thank you so much both for your help and please tell you that I imported the igs file from ProE to CATIA v5 r16 and I´m trying to close the surface with mergin distance 0.001 to do a close surface with solid and let me ask how should I do this? I triying to close with healing tool but whe I use the join the are connexity error
to finish what does mean the green boundary when I  use join and healing?
