Equation between Planes

Equation between Planes

Equation between Planes

(OP)
Hello Everyone,

I am trying to use an equation to change the height of a dimension in a sketch that is in relation to the distance between the first plane.

The equation is y=Cos(.25X) where i want y to be the height of the dimension and x be the distance between the planes. I have about 15 different planes using this equation and was wondering if there was a way to have it work.

(I dont want to have to enter a different X value for each one as i will constantly be changing the dimension between the planes).

Thank you for any help you can provide.

If it is any help, the first plane im trying to dimension from is the front plane.

RE: Equation between Planes

How is your plane constrained?  Is it defined as being a specific distance from the front plane?  If it is, then there should be a dimension such as "D1@PLANE1" that you would use in the equation.

WOW i cant believe i couldnt figure that one out. I tried a whole bunch of different commands.

Thank you very very much

RE: Equation between Planes

I typically would put this in a design table.
