Adding Isometric View in Drawing

Adding Isometric View in Drawing

Adding Isometric View in Drawing

(OP)
Trying to add an isometric view in a drawing but just driving myself round the bend. How to do?

RE: Adding Isometric View in Drawing

Insert > view > base view > expand "model view" (click on arrow next to the words "model view" > model view to use: ISO > place on drawing

If you need help with rotating that view before putting it on the drawing then I can explain that - but you need to ask :)

don't know how I missed that. easy when it's explained although that shouldn't need explaining. ta

RE: Adding Isometric View in Drawing

yes, even for a person who has been on NX for a while, a menu that is not expanded that throw a momentary curve ball.
So be sure to expand your menus all the way to see all what is in there

And then 'Collapse' those sections which you don't really need to access on a regular basis.

BTW, you can also 'Hide' all of the 'Collapsed' sections from a dialog, thus making it even shorter and less confusing, by selecting the second icon from the right on the header of the dialog (it looks like a short horizontal 'line').  Selecting it again will expand the hidden sections if you need to actually access them later.
