Can blocks in sketches be associative?

Can blocks in sketches be associative?

Can blocks in sketches be associative?

If I edit one block in a sketch can all of the other blocks that are the same be made to update?

RE: Can blocks in sketches be associative?

If you have the 'link to file' box checked, I believe changes will propagate back.

Sure does, Jeff. Now how do I break the link? I unchecked the "link to file" check box but it doesn't seem to break the associativity.

RE: Can blocks in sketches be associative?

Interesting, that should break the associativity. Not sure why it won't. You're in a sketch and not a drawing?

Thanks for the quick response, Jeff. Yes, I'm in a sketch not a drawing. I'm using SolidWorks 2010 SP4. When you try it does it break the associativity?

RE: Can blocks in sketches be associative?

In a quick test, yes it appears to break the associativity.
