Center Dimension and tolerance
Center Dimension and tolerance
(OP)
Hi Guys,
I have a vertical dimension that won't center. I have my dimension lettering set up so they are horizontal, but when I add a tolerance, the lettering stays centered around the actual dimension with the tolerance off to the right side. I would like it to be centered about the dimension and tolerance.
I have tried using the dimension style menu and changing the alignment position, but it does not change the alignment at all.
Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Chris

RE: Center Dimension and tolerance
I know its not very helpful but I've tried to play with this and I'm not sure its possible.
My only caution would be to think about what your trying to achieve here ... depending on what drawing standard your working to I don't think your breaking any conventions with what you've got.
Also, given that you've got a nice long length, why not accept the default above line dimension with the text viewed from the right?
That said, If it's REALLY important and you want a bodge (which goes against my better judgement) you could put two dimensions on, hide the text from one, hide the leader lines form the other and position the two relative to each other.
Yuck - I can't believe I've actually typed this (now where's that cowboy emoticon)
