I've been working in Telecommunicaitons/Electronics for decades, but I'm not a degreed engineer. Math is not my strong suit either. I'm presently in serious need of descriptive calculations regarding induced current and was hoping a real engineer could help me.
The scenario is this: In-ground multi-conductor cable, say 1000 ft, has #14 conductors with rubber coating 5/64" thick. A cable location tester is run through one conductor and ground. Considering frequencies between 500hz and 85Khz at .5A, what is the current induced into an adjacent conductor?
Assistance is greatly appreciated.
