GSD and wireframe toolbars are empty

GSD and wireframe toolbars are empty

(OP)
Hi,

I am runnning V5R18 and have noticed my GSD and Wireframe workbenches are showing up with empty toolbars.

The license seems ok (under the shared products tab, the GS1 license is listed as already being granted)

It works on the PC which is the license server but not on my laptop where I'm using a VPN to connect to the license server.

Anyone have any ideas? I set up my license server yesterday to use licenses offline but for now I havent checked any of them out yet.

So a re-install cured this problem.

Very annoying since I don't know what the problem was but anyway, now I can point, plane and line to my hearts content. Maybe even some sweeping and extracting if Im feeling in the mood.

RE: GSD and wireframe toolbars are empty

When you install Catia you can select products and/or packages.  for example GS1 (Generative shape 1) or GSD (Generative Shape Design GS2) in the package list.  You would be missing commands if you installed only GS1 and had a GSD license.

When in doubt install all but if you know which products you have I suggest installing just those to save install/update time.

Regards,
Derek

My re-install was a full one because I did not know exactly what licences we have and didn't want to end up with the problems you described.

The funny thing is that this was never a problem before so something happened recently to cause it but I have not understood what.
