Delete lines in Drawings
Delete lines in Drawings
(OP)
Hi all.
In autocad when I want to make an alteration, or strip some of the detail away, all I do is click and delete lines.
Is there anyway to do the same with a SW drawing? I know that the drawing is connected to the model (alter model=alter drawing), but sometimes it would be easy just to save a drawing and delete a few lines, without having to alter the model.
The reason I am asking is because today I had to send a customer a drawing, because the model was complex, the drawing came out very detailed, but the customer didn't need all the info on the drawing, so being able to strip some of the detail away would have really helped.

Right click on the edge you need to be removed and hide it.

A configuration of the part with the unwanted features suppressed can also be used.

That way the customer gets what they need, and you don't have to mess around with your SW model/drawing.
It's an extra step, but may save some headaches.
