Advance Simulation of gears

Advance Simulation of gears

(OP)
I am trying to perform an advanced simulation using NX 7.5 on a gear set and am having trouble with the constraint used between the two gears. I am fully constraining the pinion and allowing the side gear to rotate. What contstraint do I apply so that the gear teeth can slide against each other while the deflection is occuring?

RE: Advance Simulation of gears

rmswinso,

did you already try a version of a non-penetrating contact?
